Job Summary

An Associate Financial Representative (AFR) specializes in client service and supporting the financial advisor to ensure that their focus remains on building their business. An AFR works closely with others on their team to provide ongoing support operations, planning, service, and marketing. They act as a liaison between the home office, financial advisor, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain compliant client file folders
  • Collect and input client meeting notes
  • Maintain financial advisor’s calendar – schedule and confirm appointments
  • Compile meeting kits which include all materials needed for the client meetings
  • Manage underwriting process which includes providing, or collaborating with others to provide:
    • Pre-filling, checking, and submitting applications with completeness and accuracy
    • Scheduling requirements and medical exams
    • Monitoring application through the underwriting process and act on cases needing attention
  • Process client service requests
  • Assemble targeted feedlists to provide marketing support for financial advisor

Minimum Job Requirements
  • 2-7 years financial services or insurance industry experience preferred
  • Life & Health licensed (or obtained within 3 months of employment)
  • SIE, Series 6, and Series 63 licensed (or obtained within 9 months of employment)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with others
  • Ability to proactively identify what needs to be accomplished and act
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
